Social media marketing is expected to dominate this year — so much so that 81% of CMOs plan to link their annual revenues to their social media investment, according to a recent survey by The CMO Club and Bazaarvoice. But the growing list of online social media sites makes choosing the right route complicated. From Facebook to YouTube to Digg and beyond, which media outlets will net the most bang for the buck in terms of customer communication, brand exposure, traffic, and SEO?

I really need to explore Youtube more myself. I’ve heard that there are more searches being done for video than all other searches combined! That’s pretty exciting.
I’ve also heard from a few SEO experts that twitter can be good for short term SEO boosts. I don’t really do twitter much myself because to me it is too hard to follow any conversations I want to follow so I’m probably not the right person to ask. I’d be curious to know if other people are using Twitter for SEO purposes.
One of my favorite traffic generators made your list… Stumble Upon. I love that site. It is a underutilized traffic generator.
Benjamin,
What is it about Stumble Upon you like so much?
